The overarching educational goal of the BPRI is to provide depth and breadth of training to a new generation of integrative biologists who will learn to efficiently navigate across different scales of biological organization through the common thread of phenotypic plasticity, with a focus on locust phase polyphenism.
Our education and training plan centers on building communication skills structured in a way that ensures the discovery and exploration of key foundational assumptions of different disciplines, and training scientists who can freely converse, connect, and synthesize new insights into the study of phenotypic plasticity, and continue to work together for decades to come.
